McKinleyville Totem Pole




In 1996, Humboldt County artist Duane Flatmo repainted the McKinleyville Totem Pole and gave it a new look.

Log hauled on freeway



A 500-year-old redwood was harvested from Pacific Lumber Co. land and hauled to McKinleyville, where Ernest Pierson carved the totem pole and erected in in 1962 for commemorate the opening of the McKinleyville Shopping Center, located in McKinleyville, Calif.
